When people talk about vinyl siding types and styles, they use the two words interchangeably and that is all right, your contractor will know the difference.  However, there is a difference. Types of siding and styles of siding are different. Types of siding may include wood, vinyl, fiber board, cement board or other materials. Styles of siding usually refer to the assorted sizes, shapes, textures, length, feel, insulated or non-insulated panels.

Vinyl Siding Color Chart

Vinyl siding color chart is vast and varies from manufacturer to manufacture. Each siding company will have its own specialty colors that they change often. Just like new cars and clothes, the colors change with the seasons.

You should do your due diligence and review several different siding manufacturers to see what the hottest colors are at the time you are interested. Once you pick out a color you can contact your contractor and he can get you a sample piece of siding in the color (s) you are interested in. Don't rely on pictures on the internet or magazine to accurately represent the true color. You need to see the real sample piece.
